Holy Thursday, April 1
The parish community gathers at Our Lady Queen of Peace for The MASS OF THE LORD’S SUPPER
at 6 p.m. at which we celebrate the institution of the Eucharist and the Blessed Sacrament is carried in procession to the Repository. . [Covid19 Restrictions prevent the Foot washing from taking place this year.
Covid -19 Restrictions prevent the Parish Covered Dish Supper from taking place this year.
The Church remains open for personal prayer and adoration until 10 p.m.
There are no morning Masses today.
Good Friday, April 2
SCRIPTURAL STATIONS OF THE CROSS: 3 p.m. at Our Lady Queen of Peace.
THE LITURGY OF THE LORD’S PASSION AND DEATH at 6 p.m. at Our Lady Queen of Peace.
This evening service is one of the most ancient services of the Church.
It consists of readings, general intercessions and the veneration of the Cross of Christ.
It concludes with the distribution of Holy Communion with the bread that was
consecrated into the Body of Christ on Holy Thursday.
HOLY SATURDAY – April 3
The whole Church waits and watches in quiet during the day as we prepare to
celebrate the most solemn day of the Church year.
The Faith Community gathers at 8:00 P.M. at Our Lady Queen of Peace for the
celebration of THE EASTER VIGIL –
the most solemn liturgy of the Church year. New fire is blessed; we listen to the account
of our salvation and new baptismal water is blessed. All of us renew our baptismal promises and, once again,
the Eucharist is celebrated.
THE SOLEMNITY OF EASTER – SUNDAY April 4
The Celebration of the Paschal Eucharist takes place at 8:00 A.M. at Our Lady Queen of
Peace and 10 A.M. at Saint Margaret of Cortona.
The entire Easter week from Sunday, April 4 to Sunday, April 11 [Divine Mercy Sunday] is
celebrated as one great Solemnity.
Mass: Monday through Friday at 7:30 a.m. at Our Lady Queen of Peace
Saturday morning, 8:30 a.m. at Our Lady Queen of Peace
