Vocations to the Priesthood and Religious Life

Prayer for Vocations:

Loving and Generous God,
it is You who call us by name
and ask us to follow You.
Help us to grow in the Love
and Service of our Church
as we experience it today.

Give us the energy and courage
of Your Spirit
to shape its future

Grant us faith-filled leaders
who will embrace Christ's Mission
of love and justice.

Bless the Church of Our Lady Queen of Peace/Saint

Margaret of Cortona Mission
by raising up dedicated and generous leaders
from our families and friends
who will serve Your people as Sisters,
Priests, Brothers, Deacons and Lay Ministers.

Inspire us to know You better
and open our hearts
to hear Your call.

We ask this through our Lord.  Amen

CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!!!!!! Our very own Deacon Joseph Brennan has been appointed Diocesan Director of the Permanent Diaconate by Bishop Edward Scharfenberger [Effective January 6, 2020]. Deacon Joe is responsible for duties associated with the Office of the Diaconate and Ongoing Deacon Formation. Happily for us, Deacon Joe will continue his diaconate ministry here at Our Lady Queen of Peace/Saint Margaret of Cortona Mission.

Daily Prayer for Priests    ~St Therese of the Child Jesus

O Jesus, I pray for Your faithful and fervent priests;

For Your unfaithful and tepid priests;

For Your priests laboring at home or abroad in distant

mission fields.

for Your tempted priests;

for Your lonely and desolate priests

for Your young priests;

for Your dying priests;

for the souls of Your priests in Purgatory.

But above all, I recommend to You the priests dearest to me:

the priest who baptized me;

the priests who absolved me from my sins;

the priests at whose Masses I assisted and who gave me Your Body and Blood in Holy Communion;

the priests who taught and instructed me;

all the priests to whom  I am indebted  in any other way.

O Jesus, keep them all close to Your heart,

And bless them abundantly in time and in eternity.  Amen.
