Weekend Ministry Schedule
The Liturgical Ministry Schedule for the months of October 5-6, 2019 thru January 25-26, 2020 inclusive is attached to this note. As you know, if you have email, this schedule and a list of the ministers and phone numbers is being emailed to you. In addition to this, the current weekend schedule is emailed by Barbara each week as a reminder. Once again, I thank you personally and on behalf of the parish for your valuable ministry. We are all grateful for the privilege to minister at The Celebration of the Eucharist. It is important that we carry out the sacred mysteries reverently and appropriately. I ask you to be aware of a number of very important points as we continue carrying out our ministry here.
Please try to arrive at The Celebration of the Eucharist in a timely manner.Eucharistic ministers are asked to come directly to the and check in with the coordinator. The coordinator should arrive before everyone else and come to the sacristy immediately. If you are substituting for someone you need to tell the coordinator when you check in.
You are asked to secure your own substitute.Once the schedule has been published it is up to those who are assigned to call on someone for a last minute replacement. We are happy to accommodate your scheduling needs before the schedule is published. Every effort has been made to assure the accuracy of the schedule. If there is an inaccuracy please be understanding and patient. Please remember it is a privilege and not a convenience to be a minister at The Celebration of the Eucharist.
PLEASE REMEMBER TO DRESS APPROPRIATELY FOR THE CELEBRATION OF THE EUCHARIST. This means no casual wear [No jeans, tee shirts, sweat shirts, sneakers, shorts, Capri pants, tank tops, sleeveless wear, etc. or any other attire that is not modest, tasteful and appropriate.] Dressing up for the Lord and our fellow parishioners is a great way to express our reverence and respect.
EUCHARISTIC MINISTERS:PLEASE USE SOAP AND HOT WATER TO CLEANSE THE SACRED VESSELS AFTER MASS.THIS ASSURES THAT THEY ARE STERILIZED AND IT CUTS DOWN ON THE OVERUSE OF THE DISH TOWELS.
Once again, many thanks. It is my hope that these days and their special moments and events will produce an abundance of God’s blessings for you and your loved ones.
In Christ, Father Vincent
