The Parish Mission Statement:
We are the People of God called to serve God and one another as we journey toward the fullness of God's Kingdom. The Celebration of the Eucharist is the center of our Roman Catholic lives. We welcome all to be part of our parish family, worshipping, praying and serving with us.
God Bless you.

Are you interested in joining a universal Church that stretches around the globe, that has a vibrant sacramental system in which Jesus is present especially in His real Body and Blood in the Eucharist, that embraces people from every race, language and way of life, that is the largest provider of social and human services in the world? Then you are interested in becoming a Roman Catholic!
Our Lady Queen of Peace/Saint Margaret of Cortona has launched our own parish app for iPhone and Android smart phones.
To download this app, text the word app to phone number 88202 to download. * Type OLQP in the search box
With this app, we have the ability to send messages about special events, Holy Day reminders, Penance Service times, etc…
The app has the most up-to-date Mass and confession schedule for each week and allows you to set reminders for the next Mass you want to attend as well as when you want to next go to confession. There is an examination of conscience which will help you think about what you need to confess. In addition the confession section provides a quick ‘how to’ review and several examples of the Act of Contrition.
You will find many different prayers and have the ability to set a reminder for prayers you want to say every day, every week or just once at a certain time. The app also connects you to the daily readings.
We see this app as a gateway to a lot of great information about the Church and about what is happening right here at Our Lady Queen of Peace/Saint Margaret of Cortona parish. The reminders and tools can be very helpful in helping you live your faith every day. MyParish will not replace our current forms of communication, but rather enhance what we are already doing.
