It is the policy of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Albany that any adult who has regular contact with children and youth must be trained and in compliance with all requirements. Anyone who is not in compliance with Diocesan policy and who does not fulfill any of these requirements will not be allowed to work in any programs for children or youth in any parish in the diocese.
Requirements to Volunteer with Children/Youth/Vulnerable Adults:
Attend a VIRTUS training session. These sessions are held throughout the diocese and attendance at any site in the diocese meets this requirement. It is recommended you pre-register for Virtus training at https://www.rcda.org/offices/safe-environment/virtus-program-and-training. You will receive your certificate at the Virtus training session. It is your responsibility to provide the location you are volunteering at with a copy of your Virtus certificate.
